Description
Reinforced regular soil augers are used to obtain disturbed soil samples and bore to depths in difficult lithologies. The bits are open to allow entry of small soil clumps and rocks.
Reinforced augers are adaptations of our popular regular soil, mud, and sand augers. They are specially designed for heavy-duty augering. Three additional gussets provide extra strength to help prevent the top of the auger from twisting or bending, which allow the augers to withstand unusual, and considerable amounts of power.
Reinforced augers are available in carbon steel and stainless steel models. Both models have stainless steel cylinders. Carbon steel models feature heat-treated, high-carbon steel bits with tungsten carbide hard-surfaced edges. Stainless steel models use stainless steel bails, cylinders, and bits; they are ideal for environmental sampling and EPA testing.
Please make sure any AMS samplers you intend to use together share a common connection type.
Reinforced Regular Augers are a special order item that may take up to one week to manufacture. Please don't order them to be shipped Next or Second Day Air.
