This auger kit is ideal for its simplicity!
The sand auger within this kit uses a closed bit design with a restricted opening to prevent the loss of sampled material during retrieval. The inner edges of the sand auger bits touch at their mid-point to make the sand auger more reliable in loose, unconsolidated soil conditions. The Signature Series threaded extension in this kit is zinc-coated for added rust resistance.
Please make sure any AMS samplers you intend to use together share a common connection type.
Achievable depth is dependent on soil conditions.
