Description
Infiltration rings are a simple and relatively inexpensive method for monitoring infiltration rates. They can also be used to study liquid waste disposal, leaching, and drainage efficiencies. Rings are inserted into the turf by pushing and twisting on the attached cross handle that is welded through the center. To determine infiltration rates and soil saturation, use a stopwatch to measure the dissipation duration.
For added convenience, an optional dead blow hammer may also be used to pound the infiltration ring into the turf. Each ring is constructed of rolled, 16-gauge mild steel instead of galvanized steel. Additionally, they are coated with a corrosion resistant clear powder coat, significantly enhancing the durability of each unit.
