Description
The adjustable footstep is compatible with any regular soil probes, soil recovery probes, and dual-purpose soil recovery probes that are 7/8" or 1". They are also compatible with 1" replaceable tip soil probes. Like built-in steps, the adjustable footstep allows for additional down pressure to drive the probe into the ground. The footstep can also be used as a stopping point to reach a specific sampling depth with a probe. Adjustable footsteps allow for deeper samples below the surface than step probes because the footstep can be adjusted to fit anywhere on a soil probe or extension. The footstep is made of zinc-plated steel.
Adjustable footsteps do NOT fit 1-1/8" soil probes, AMS gas vapor probes, or tile probe extensions!

1" Adjustable Footstep
AMS always has nice tools. This foot piece is a great helper for the clay and rocks we deal with in VA. You do have to be careful using it as you can put too much weight on it and bend the tool.
